AIPPI is a truly international organisation representing a diverse range of interests in the global IP community, including the IP profession, industry and academia. AIPPI is, in many respects, a learned society for the global IP community.

AIPPI’s primary interest is harmonisation of global IP laws and, as such, it has an excellent working relationship with inter-governmental organisations such as WIPO, as well as many of the world’s largest patent offices. A number of the international resolutions developed by AIPPI’s members have influenced IP treaties and national IP laws. In addition, national groups have the opportunity to develop closer working relationships with their respective national IP bodies.

If you’re someone who enjoys working in stimulating, often thought-provoking and controversial areas of international IP law; and if you’re someone who enjoys participating and networking in forums in which many nationalities actively participate, then AIPPI will likely be the IP organisation for you.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to travel and work in most of the world’s continents and with many practitioners from around the globe. And the entertainment isn’t too bad either!
