Join our speakers Richard Hamer and Helen Rofe, and our facilitator Marcus Fleming for a discussion on the best method requirement and the implications of recent case law for patentees.

Our speakers:

Richard Hamer is a partner in the IP group at Allens. He has been ranked consistently as one of the leading patent litigators in Australia. He frequently acts in pharmaceutical patent cases. He has been actively involved in IP policy issues, having held the positions of Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Law Council of Australia and president of the Licensing Executives Society of ANZ.

Helen Rofe is a leader of the Australian patent Bar. Before coming to the Bar, Helen practised as a special counsel at Arthur Robinson & Hedderwicks and a senior associate at Blake Dawson Waldron. She has a Bachelor of Science majoring in genetics. She has appeared in many major patent infringement and validity cases,

Marcus Fleming is a barrister at the Victorian Bar. He practises in commercial litigation, with a particular focus on intellectual property law. He accepts briefs in all areas of IP, including patents, trade marks and related rights, copyright, designs and confidential information. Marcus is consistently recognised in Doyle’s Guide to Leading Victorian Intellectual Property Barristers.
